Is LumiPortrait really free?
Yes — completely free, with no hidden trial. You don't create an account, don't enter a card, and don't see paywalls. We can offer this because the experience is lightweight and we only run the GPU briefly per photo.
What kind of photo should I upload?
A clear, front-facing photo with good lighting and your face roughly centered gives the best results. Avoid sunglasses, heavy filters, group shots, or photos where your face takes up less than a quarter of the frame.
Do you save my photo?
No. Your image is held in memory only long enough to generate your six portraits, then discarded. We don't save it to disk, don't keep a copy, and don't use it to train AI models.
How long does it take?
Most users see the first portrait appear within 10–20 seconds and all six within one minute. Speeds depend on current GPU load — during peak hours you might wait slightly longer.
Can I use the portraits commercially?
Yes. You own your portraits and can use them anywhere — LinkedIn, your website, marketing material, printed gifts, or social media. There are no watermarks and no usage restrictions from us.
Why did some of my portraits fail?
Occasionally one of the six styles fails (unusual lighting, low resolution, or transient GPU load). The other portraits still arrive normally. You can re-upload to try again, or use one of the successful portraits.
Does it work on iPhone, Android, and inside TikTok or Instagram browsers?
Yes — iOS Safari, Android Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Samsung Internet all work normally. Inside in-app browsers like TikTok or Instagram, photo uploads are restricted by the host app, so we show a banner with one-tap options to open the site in Chrome or scan a QR code to switch devices.
